Peterborough Opera was formed in 1969 and we still have one member of the original group singing with us. We have about 35 members, but could do with plenty more. Most of our members live in and around Peterborough, but we do have several from further afield, and there is no age limit.
We rehearse every Friday at St Luke's Church, Mayors Walk, Peterborough, from 7.30-
Potential soloists and chorus members alike are welcome to come and see what we do. You don't have to have a voice like Placido Domingo (though that would be very welcome!). Our emphasis is very much on having fun and singing for the sheer enjoyment of it. We don’t just sing opera: our concerts usually include lighter numbers as well. We are building up an enjoyable programme for 2010.
