Peterborough Opera was formed in 1969 and we still have one member of the original group singing with us. We have about 35 members, but could do with plenty more. Most of our members live in and around Peterborough, but we do have several from further afield, and there is no age limit. We would particularly welcome some more male singers, both soloists and chorus members. Gianni Schicchi has several small roles which would be ideal for someone who feels unsure about tackling a major part, and Cavalleria Rusticana has plenty of work for the chorus. Alternatively, if you don’t want to take an active part, but would like to support us, would you consider becoming a Patron?

Not tried singing opera before? It’s great music and really rewarding. And we sing lots of other types of music in our concerts. Come along to our open evening on March 23rd and see. As they say, don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!
