Musical Director

Peterborough Opera currently have a vacancy for a Musical Director.  The company performs a fully staged opera every autumn, together with concerts during the year comprising both operatic and lighter selections.  We are looking to recruit someone with an extensive knowledge of the operatic repertoire, experience in conducting for staged performances and in creating/arranging orchestrations to suit available players and situations, an ability to work closely and creatively with a production team, and a good understanding of realistic budgeting as we are not a wealthy society. Members include a cross-section of age ranges and experiences and all share an enthusiasm and commitment to put on polished and exciting performances.
